Sensory Friendly Hour In-Person
Starting at 9am the South County Library will open early to offer a sensory friendly service hour. The lights will be dimmed, item scanning will be limited to check out only, and there will be passive activities for all ages. All patrons are welcome to enjoy a quieter environment in which to explore and discover the wide variety of library services. An Accessibility Library of Things will also be available including a handheld c-pen reader that reads aloud scanned text, magnifying glasses with a light, happy lights, and large print keyboard.
At 10am the library will open for daily business hours.
